What is a Shamanic Journey?
The shamanic journey is a spiritual healing practice that has been used by humans for
thousands of years across many cultures and continents.
The word shaman came about by an anthropologist in Siberia, Russia in the mid 17th century
while learning from the Tungus people, the word “Saman” meaning, “he or she who knows.”
What the shamans know is how the world of the invisible interacts with the world of the visible. In other terms, shamans understand how the world of spirit interacts with the world of the material.

We all have the capability of journeying (entering into a trance like/meditative state) where we
connect to our spirit guides and receive messages and guidance. Shamanic practice recognizes
that illness or imbalance starts at the spirit level. If it is not addressed at the spirit level it moves to the emotional level. If it is not addressed at the emotional level, it moves to the mental level. If it is not addressed at the mental level, it moves to the physical level – where it is generally harder to ignore. Shamanic practice is always focused on healing the spirit, it addresses the symptom at its point of origin no matter where on the spectrum it is manifesting.

What can I expect from a Spiritual guidance/shamanic journey session?
A session can be in person or virtual using zoom. Each session is 60 - 90 minutes.​​

A private journey session will first begin with a conversation on what is coming up for you in your life at the moment. What are your struggles, what do you need to work on and what needs
your attention? Depending on what comes up for you, there are a few different approaches to take within a Shamanic Journey.
​
1) Journey and meet your Guide(s): With instruction you will take your own journey to connect with a spirit guide for guidance and the practitioner will use the drum, rattle or guided meditation to help guide you.
​
2) Power Retrieval: If the challenges arising for you seem connected to power loss (depression, bad luck, lack of motivation) then the practitioner can work with their guides to retrieve the power that is needed and bring it back to you. The practitioner will journey and share what comes up in the journey for you to interpret.

3) Soul Retrieval: If the challenges arising for you seem connected to soul loss (due to a traumatic life event) then the practitioner will work with their guides to retrieve your lost soul parts and share with you what comes through.
​
Each journey itself is only 15 minutes long while being guided by the drum, rattle or a meditation. Many journeys may need to take place to peel back the layers of what needs attention.
